The Oxytocin Story
Oxytocin is a ceremonial teahouse and event space based in Boulder, Colorado. 🍵 🏔️
Our project was born out of a question on many of our minds: in the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible, how are humans connecting in community?
Despite what they taught you about the Boston Tea Party in high school history class, tea is a plant that represents peace. And, like tea, our intention is simple: to create experiences that inspire love and belonging. Whatever you are bringing with you in your life, we invite you to enter our space, put your bags down, and join us in that special kind of exhale that says, “ah, a moment to rest and just be.”
Within that rest, we evoke celebration: music, ritual, connection; a place for self-expression and creativity.
Oxytocin is a fascinating hormone that facilitates human bonding and connection. We attempt to curate our spaces to feel like that moment when you’re in a really good hug: an affectionate sense of warmth that reminds us of our shared humanity.
